Have you guys ever made t-shirts? Full blown color photos typically don't work on tshirts. Go look at all the actual tshirts in your closet. I'll bet you (unless you have the pasted "worlds greatest dad" tshirt with a picture of your kids) none of them have an actual photograph on there. They are priced based on how many colors are on the shirt. That is why you typically see a monochromatic color scemes on your tshirt. Or based off of say 4 colors. And on each side. Alot of times what people do is put a monochromatic color scheme on the small logo infront and several colors on the logo of the back.
So when doing a logo, which I like the idea, and the "don't feed the trolls" is hilarious. Keep in mind the medium you are using t-shirts which is VERY limited. Unless you want to go out and pay 25 dollars for the a dang tshirt.
very true dispersion dyes are a pain in the butt to work with and high quality prints like photos are generally very expensive. the cost of coating one screen is about 45$ think one screen for each color for a 56color print you would need 56 screens, you would have to sell a lot of shirts just to cover the cost. thats why cartoony prints are easier usually 4-5 colors tops. I used to screen print in my younger years.
