Saltwaterfish.com T-Shirt

A long long time ago I started a t-shirt thread in the Ask Saltwaterfish.com section. We have pending approval now, so we need some designs. Here's what we've learned, the t-shirt should'nt have an actual picture on it because too many colors will make it really expensive, it should be a cartoonish picture or something. As Stdreb pointed out, monochromatic color schemes will work best. Anyway, here's the link. Thanks.

Wow, if multi-colors are expensive, IO must be making a killing. The shirts they toss in with the bucket that has more coloring then a childrens playbook on the back with all the fish....

I wasn't talking from experience. I didn't know that. Cool. Still...I've heard pictures won't work well.

I have no idea either, I was just mentioning that with all of the buckets sold with a free tshirt, that it has a ton of images on it, either has to costs a pretty penny, they've found some other printing, or something...

The expense comes in for multi-colors when you do the initial setup (for your logo and pic). Being an organizer for various functions, we have asked for our sponsors to donate some cash, say $25.00, get 10+ sponsors, and you have your setup fee for printing. Definetly do the front and back and add your sponsors to the back, in smaller lettering. Maybe saltwaterfish could aide you in that task. From previous experience though, the shirt should be really
nice, good quality material (min. 50/50), and offered in different styles (T's, sweat, tank, etc.)

The way SWF mods made it sound is that we have to come up with and agree upon one shirt and they will order them for us and sell them on the site. So if we could get some shirt ideas going, then we could pop up a poll I guess.

It can have multiple images, but the different colors are what is costly. 1,2,3,4, or 5 colors usually. Generally speaking 2-3 colors on a shirt is common. SWF, should be able to go to a t shirt shop and have a graphic artist draw something they are interested in. Usually set up fee is low, like 50-100 dollars. This gets you your image in a digital format, shirts, mugs, mouse pads etc. etc. can then be printed from that.
