No really, we ought to have a bi-annual SWF.com reef tank contest to see who's tanks are the best for certain categories. What do you all think?

NMreef, in my opinion you have one of the nicest tanks pictured on this board! I know you do alot of reasearch, show patients and use careful planning. That is the key to any succesful reef. Keep up the good work!
ps, some day i'll have to invest in a digital camera & show my tank pics.

Perhaps the owners of swf.com would supply webspace for BB members to post their pics, and even have a contest as mentioned.
If not, I (and others probably) could provide such a service. I helped Eric a bit with his stuff on my website and would do so for others.(http://www.itpro1.com/reef.htm) for a sample.
I think the owners of this site should be approached first. But in the meantime, if anyone needs a spot to post some pics, let me know!

i feel a little insignificant, i've been getting way tooooooo many sweets today, everyone is offering all this eyecandy, and i can't as of yet(real soon, i got soem pics, the tank is still in progress, and i am getting ready to build our site, so real soon), that and i am still learning the photography end,
anyhow, i just wanted to say how envious i am of all your tanks, and this is definitely another beautifusl tank to add to the list, i enjoyed seeing it and hope mine is as nice, when complete

What a beautiful tank you got! I'd assume that it is 55 gallon with 4 PC 10000K and 2 VHO actinic. That what it would look like! Beautiful although!

thanks gang.......yes 4x65 watt 10k pc's & 2x110 watt vho(actinic)...and yes DSB is about 6"...can't tell you how nice it is to have ya'all speak well of my system...

I have identical looking sandbed, and my Clarkii has been moving some sand around to fit it's needs.

Better late than never... Super tank!! Definitely in the elite class of this board. I Have seen about 10 or 12 others that are in this class. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring us. I can't wait to post some new pics of my tank. I know it's only 30gal, but it's a beauty. Sammy, I remember when you lost your tank, just after I joined. You have come a long way in 7 months and I can't wait to see it this summer. All of you guys with large tanks make me so jealous!!! I just will not let myself buy one until I'm settled in someplace semi-permanent. It's hard enough moving a 30gal every 2yrs.
