i was wondering if 20lbs bioargonite sand and 10lbs of regular home depot sand would work better in my tank than the crushed coral im using now or doesnt make a difference thanks

Sand is usually always better IMO, CC is a nitrate factory...It would be benificial to change from CC to LS..
GL, you will like it better, it basically maintains itself..

I agree with Sea Wraith.....if you do proper water changes and vacuum your substrate, CC is not a nitrate factory. I made the switch for cosmetic reasons. Had CC with no problems.

I'm making the switch for cosmetic reasons, no problems with nitrates and my cc, but if you use play sand you want silica free sand. Otherwise you run a higher risk of diatom outbreaks.
