sand cleaning fish?

ive saw a fish that sifts through the sand and spits it out through it's gills or such i thoughht it was a goby or blennie anyone have a clue what i saw? it was a while ago so have no clue what it looked like so.... anyone? i know its not a scooter blenny ?

most likely was a diamond goby or something similiar. Definitely in the goby family though. Could have been a sleeper goby as well.

could have been a lot of things diamond, sleeper, tiger, 2 spot, or orange linned and there are more but im not sure of the names.

can a diamond gobie go in a 90g with a scooter blennie or not recommended?
it was a diamond goby i had a brainfort moment.

diamond gobies are sand sifters as well, usually much more than sleepers.

Be prepared to clean sand off your rocks and corals (if ya have any) daily. Mine was a ball to watch, but got sand everywhere. And make sure you have a secure hood.

You probably saw a diamond gobie. I have a rainfords gobie that sifts just the very upper layer of sand, very cool personality. Doesn't make a mess with the sand like other sand sifters do.

my diamond goby kept my sand so white, I forgot it could even look that white. Then he jumped right out of the tank! Only had him about a month...so get some eggcrate too, they're jumpers!
