Sand from the Ocean

I just returned from vacation off the coast of Charelston SC at Kiawah Island. I was little concerned that my tank was lacking life in my sandbed so I went out about 100yrds and retained about a pitchers worth of sand. It has been in the pitcher for almost 4 days now and I am debating on whether to put it in the tank or not. Just wanted some opinions.

I would be real concerned with pollutants and probably would not put that in my tank. If you want sand bed life order a kit on line. There are several places that have them and they can add all the critters you would ever want with none of the bad things. costs a little but safer for your tank.

Pollutants huh. I know for a fact that people were urinating in that ocean. hehehe
