Sand on fish?

Is it possible for sand to get stuck to a fish?
The reason I am asking is because I just switched out my CC for southdown and now one of my fish is covered in really small particles. The other 2 fish dont have anything on them though. He is still eating normally though and swimming around alot and not scratching on rocks. I have had ich before and the spots look alot smaller to me.

Very possible.....matter of fact I see it all the time. My Huma Huma likes to take sand in his mouth and swim to the top of the tank, and sprinkle it all over. Yellow Tang and Perc are always covered in sand, but they swin in front of the power head and it blows off. Quite entertaining to watch the cycle of events.
