Sand question???

I cant get LS so i was gonna get some Non live of course,But i dont know how much i need...I have a 90 gal tac the diamentiona are 24 high,48 long,and 18 wide.Aloso i wannted to know if i can turn the non live sand into live sand?I think i can "seed"it with live but i dont know how to or how much i would need.Thank you

For a 3" sandbed you would need around 100#lbs of sand.
To seed dry sand, you can do several things, first your LR will seed it quite a bit but if you don't see enough, you can purchase LS, or better yet, try to get a local aquarist to give you a cup of sand from their tank or refugium. Do not buy the LS that comes in the bags, this only has bacteria not worms and things that you want.

ok thx but i plan on Cureing my live rock in my tanc with the dead sand.My proplem would be all of the die off that i have to deal with would get mixed in the sand and would that be a problem?

Are you buing uncured rock? If so before you put it in the tank you will want to take a toothbrush and scrub all the dead stuff off, as much as you can anyway, other than that I just put it in the tank, if you buy the rock from here then no worries at all just put it in the tank.
