what is a good depth for a sand bed/ how deep is your sand bed?

My sand is probably 3 inches deep. I dont know if thats best but it looks great.

This is a much debated topic....bascially there are 3 types of tanks..
1. Bare Bottom..
2. Shallow Sand bed 1-3inches
3. Deep sand beds 4-6 inches.
Each has thier own following of people who think they are the best...
So far there is no real answer of XX is the perfect amount.
Just do some research on them and make your decision based on your knowledge of both.

4-6 is way to deep for me, at the most 3 inches. hey bennie, u have any pics ?
