Sand Question

Has anyone used the sand that has bacteria already in it. I'm not talking about "live sand", this stuff you buy off the shelf. I was wondering if it's a good alternative to having live sand shipped in to start my tank cycle. The tank is a fish only. Thanks

Yes I have used it and it's good stuff to mix with dry (dead) sand. Keep in mind it is live with bacteria only, no critters but it is a good product.

I also have used this in a fish only tank. It seemd to work great. Dont really know if it helped the tank cycle faster or not, but it made me feel better just using it. I used it to start tank, not after it had already been established.
