sand sifters

i want a sand sifter to keep the top of my snad bed nice and clean. i would like a golden head sleeper goobie (i think that is wut it is called) or any kind of gobie like that but i hear they strip the sand bed of beneficial bacteria? but waht does this bactera do? and do they always eat it?

You might want to consider some sandshifting snails like Nassarius. They stir up the sandbed but don't strip you of all beneficial bacteria and pods.

sand sifting cucumbers work well also. i have 1 in my 55g and its spotless

i heard that they are poisones (sp?) or like if they die they crash the tank maybe? wut kind do u have?

My conch and nassarius snails do a wonderful job cleaning my sand bed!
