I think one of the biggest problems with them is that they starve to death our tanks, regardless of whether you have a dsb or not.

Do you mean they starve to death, or they kill our tanks?

That would also be my concern....eventually they'll deplete their food source and starve. Not to mention the damage they do to the sand micro infauna itself.

I've read that many successful reefkeepers keep at least one. And in my case with a 150g refugium with a 5" DSB, I don't think adding one to my 1" SB in my display will hurt, just help with keeping my sand clean. But I don't know so, I ask those of you who have tryed them. What do you all think?
