Sand stuck to fish?

I have a bicolor pseudochromis(spelling?) and I bought him about 2 months ago. When I brought him home it looked like he had a white beard! I though maybe it was dead skin and would go away. But it hasn't. Now it seems that sand it stuck under his mouth. Not a couple of grains but alot. He it also looks like he has a grain on his eye. And some on his top fin. He is very energetic and likes to pick on the other fish and he eats like a monster. He also likes to pick up the sand and spit it all over my live rock.
None of the other fish in the tank appear to have this problem.
Any ideas?

LOL.....would not be the first time sand has been mistaken for ich, and, unfortunately, visa versa!

So should i just wait it out? He's been like this since I got him and none of the other fish seem affected.

It looks like the skin has been rubbes off? Is it bumped or does it look like scrapped skin?

It looked like scraped skin at the time. But now the white you see in the pic is now completely covered with sand.

Very ODD. It may just be a scrape, and the sand is sticking to the fish's natural slime coat which it would produce more of in an injured area. Is it getting bigger?
