Sands in Ohio??

Hey Everyone,
I have all the necessary stuffs and equipment to start my cycle, the only missing thing for me is the sand. I recently bought a quikrete but then found out later from this forum that it's not that good for SW tank use. I'm going FOWLR and 55 gallons tank. I am looking around if I can find some aragonite sands in Ohio, preferably in Columbus. ToysRU$ has a pure white sands but I havent done the vinegar test on those. But those are very very white and fine grain.
Any information will be appreciated.

I used Garden Basics Play Sand from walmart. It passes the test and looks great in the tank. U have to wash it a little at a time in a bucket though before you put it in or it will cloud the water really bad. I washed mine over and over before i put it in 3 weeks ago, and the tank has never looked better. Its cheap to... Only 2 someting a 50Lb bag. :)

I got it from walmart in Mason West Virginia. They had a couple bags left over in the back, but generally only have it in springsummer. I just couldn't see paying 40.00 a LB for sand when i could get sand that would work just fine for 2 something for 50LB. I tested it with vinegar to make sure it wasn't synthetic, washed it, washed it some more, then washed it again, and now i have a nice white deep sand bed.
If it fizzes or disolves slowly in vinegar, then its safe for the tank. Or so that's what the pro's on these boards tell me.. :)

I don't know if you're looking for live sand or not, but Aquarium adventure on Sawmill carries live sand. I can't remember exactly how much it is, but I wanna say somewhere around 6.99/lb. That store is neat but PRICEY! Also, I don't know exactly where you are located in Columbus but on Route 79 in Hebron there is a great little mom and pop store called RJ'S that carries the argalive bagged live sand, it is 29.00 for a 20 lb bag.

I'm down in Cincinnati. I bought it about 1/2 a year ago but still see it mentioned on this board from time to time so I think it's still available. It also goes by another name but I can't recall what it is.
