Sandsifting Star with CC

I have a sandsifting star and CC. He is about 4in from tip to tip. Will he be able to live with my CC, its about 1mm size, what do you guys think?

I've had a few sand stars and they never seem to do well. And, Yes my tank is well established!

He probably will not do to good b/c he likes to bury himself under the sand hence the name "sand sifting star".

Well, he can burry himself in the CC just fine, but my worry is can he sift the CC through with the size of 1mm?
