Is it normal for them to climb up the glass?

yea mine does. if its not normal that mine isnt either. kindof like me

Mine rarley goes on the glass. It hangs out most of the time buried in the sand.

Interesting. My son was doing some research on sea stars last night and he came in announced that sand sifting stars can't climb glass because they lack suckers.
I guess no one told yours he couldn't climb <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />
I've never seen mine climb; just moves back and forth over and in the sand doing a great job!

Mine climbs also but very rarely, maybe once or twice a month and for a short period of time.

Mine will climb up the glass rarely.

I have 3 and they all climb up the glass. They can usually make it about half-way up before they "float" bake to the bottom.
