I have one in my NC 24DX. It fits perfectly without modification. It is definately audible but is also a good little skimmer for its size. It generally pulls out tea colored wet skimmate, not dry stuff. I hope you like it. I think it was worth the money.

they said i should get it monday. Did you put yours in the first section of your filter area where the sponge filters were ? I had the fission and had to emty it every day sometimes twice a day. cup was small and it moved easy. how often do you have to empty yours? Thank you for your response I hope I like it as well. I dont mind spending the money if its worth it.

Ok Well my Skimmer came today and it looks to be very well built and looks very nice. The only issue I ran into was that it has you put it in the first chamber in a nanocube jbj dx 24. No biggie other than the inlet water coming in will go over the top of the skimmer. All i did to take care of this was cut a piece of sponge filter I took out to fit in the gap of the skimmer and the filter wall. Plugged it in and within seconds I had foam. I cant say much about the junk it takes out of the water yet. But this skimmer so far has my vote. Paid alot more than I did for the fission. However there is no comparison. HAve few bubbles on day one. This is normal I ahve read right?

I had the same problem as you did until I messed with the surface skimmer attachment on the in flow to the back. Tone down the flow and it wont flow over the skimmer. I empty mine about twice a week with a full box. Enjoy your skimmer.

i ll try that thank you. did you just set yours in the bottom of your first sump compartment. I have mine sitting on a small piece of foam for right now. It seems to work pretty well just took a little more effort than i thought. Thanks again. Mojo

Yes, mine is on the bottom of the first chamber. The trick is to set the surface skimmer to make it where the water in the back is just below the inlet of the third chamber. The guy designed the skimmer to work at maximum capacity at this water level. Good luck and happy skimming.

I have to say IT wasnt just as easy as I wanted but I get some serious stuff out of the water. I have been checking everyday to get the lever of the cup right. It about a third full after about a day of running i raised it a little but I am please with the performance of this little guy.My water has polished up nicely.
