Sardonic has a more negative connotation. Sarcastic is kidding, sardonic is more like mocking. I would rather be sarcastic personally, but that is just me.

cool...so if I said, Camfish is an awesome person and really meant that he was a jerk...would that be sardonism?

No, that is sarcasm. Look up the definition of sardonicism and sardonic...

Alright...let me try again. This is one of the least offensive things I could come up with so sorry in advance...
Those handicap people have all the luck, I wish I could get a good parking space.

Is that still sarcasm?

Actually yes, but I'm 15 and have that whole "I'm always right and my parents are stupid" phase going on.

Wait...now I am confused...are you saying you are a girl, or are you saying you have a girl (like girlfriend)...cause if you have a girl and you think you understand her...you don't understand anything
...but if you are a girl...well that name is just misleading....cam always mean Cameron, and Cameron is always a guy...unless there is a fish called a Camfish

Haha, I am a guy and I know what you're talking about. Cameron isn't always a guy...don't forget about the ever-sexy Cameron Diaz. I love how people always call me that and think they're the first to come up with it

I don't get everything, but I am usually good at catching on to stuff like this. Sardonism must not be used too much because if you google it, this thread is one of the first things to come up.

Sweet lord corrected by a 15 year old...you are so right...I will go say 12 hail marys for my blasphemy...how shortsighted my comment was. Cameron Diaz...she is the authority on that name.

Haha, it's okay...we'll let this one slide. I love how people talk to me as if I'm not a person and won't be until at least age 18

I am just going to say that I know some adults that I have no doubt in my mind I'm smarter than...those not being my parents though.
Back on subject. If there is a distinct difference between sarcasm and sardonism, then why am I having problems?

Wait...OUCH! I had a thought. Would this be sardonism (I'm praying it is)...
Say someone sneezes all over you and you say, "I just love it when people sneeze all over me, it brightens my day." Would THAT be sardonism? Huh? I think it is. I think I understand. Give me the truth...no matter how painful it's going to be.

18...who told you 18...no, you are not considered remotely "person" like until in your late 20's. You will have your head to far up your ___ for people to even be able to tell you are human until you get to be about that age.

I said at least, meaning 18+ but whatever. I have a piece of paper that says I'm human...and it's laminated!
