They are one of the very few triggerfish to be considered 'reef safe.' IMO, they are pretty drab in coloration. They don't come close to the look of a male bluejaw, IMO. I guess you could say they are somewhat rare. I've seen prices starting around 35 and up. Minimum tank size is 75-100g, preferably more. What size tank do you have? What livestock? Bo

Yea they looked kinda whitish to me in my book and they said they like 75 gallons. I have a chevron tang a lemon peel angel and a cinnamon clown. It would replace the niger trigger I have now. Every year and a half or two years I like to switch up fish. Its time right now. I also have a zebra eel in the tank. I have a 70 gallon tank. I am tossin around gettin a 125. But not until I buy a house next year. I have also considered getting a blu throated trigger. They are on sale at my fish store right now for 40 and they are on the smaller side.

IMO, I'd wait. You could probably do it know if you got a small one if you really wanted to though. What are the dimesions of a 70g? Bo

its an oceanic that is one of a kind or maybe there were a few. I don't know, they did a demo model to see how people would like it at a trade show and they decided not to make it. Or this is what the guy at the fish store told me. Its a big square there seems to be alot of swiming room for the size. I know I would have to go bigger. That is why I always trade up fish ever year and half or so. Either one that I put in wouldn't be any different than the niger that I have. Is there any good word on the bluethroat trigger? Everyone on this site seems to love em. I have never seen them until recent?
