Satellite Radio

I have had XM Radio for about 1.5 years and have not listened to FM since. I was riding in my brothers auto last night and for the first time, I listened for 2-3 minutes

and immediatley realized why I invested in Satellite radio.

How does everyone like their satellite radio? ***)

Whats better XM or Sirius ? I have an hour commute to work and it might be time to get it. How much is it a month and how much to hook it up to the car ? Thanks

Personally I think they are both about the same. XM used to have better equipment, that is the reason why I chose them.
Today, they are about even.
Price is 12.95 per month, but you can get a discount if pay for years up front.
XM is easy, just by the radio and it comes with the car kit. No additional install needed.
I think the complete kit is about $100.
I used to have an hour drive an that is the reason why I bought it. Will never go back to FM radio. NO COMMERCIALS.

siruis has 3 satelites to xm's 2. i have xm coz i think sirius sounds silly.

the stations are allllllll thhhhhhhee same. i've compared. unless you absolutely have to listen to howard stern.

As far as recommending XM or Sirius, its really personal choice. I chose XM because it had more music stations and more stations that played the music that I like. I have XM in both of my cars and I love it, I hate FM radio. I get to hear music that the radio would never play, its refreshing. So just check out the stations on XM and Sirius and make your decision based on what YOU like, your preferences.

I just had sirius installed in my truck at Best Buy. It costed about 280 installed with a 4 year complete warranty. I had mine professionally installed because I didn't want anything plugged into the cigarette lighter or wires showing and I don't have the time or patience to do that myself.

I also chose sirius because Howard Sterns coming there in Jan. I like the no censor entertainment as well with the satelite radio. A must have

Sirius is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better! I sell both services at my store and have both services personally and I can tell you, Sirius is better. The music channels play a lot better music with less repetition and more variety. It seems like there is never anything good playing on XM. XM has had better equipment in the past but you will find that this holiday season there will be an even playing field as far as equipment goes.

I must agree with the above poster. Plus, Sirius has NFL along with other sports chanels. I have a 2005 Trailblazer and I have Sirius installed. I got the FM modulator so there are no wires to hide. The screen is velcroed to the dash so I can take it with me if I want to get in another car. There is a portable antenna and cigarette adapter so I can listen to it in either of my cars.
