The 95 Hex and the 65 Reef are in our living room. I have a 30 gallon FOWLR at my office.
It is allot of work, but we really enjoy it. I finnally got the chemistry leveled off about 6 months ago and have a real good dosing and water change schedule to help keep everything level. The biggest help was installing a RO/DI unit and using that water exclusively for top off and water changes. In fact I have 2 33gal trash cans in my kitchen churning water right now!
We are ready for more corals in the reef, we have been taking it really slow. Didn't have much luck with the sun coral, really didn't know what it was and how difficult it was to keep when we bought it from the LFS and of course they offered not guidence.
I have 400 watts of PC lighting, thinking I will try to get some sort of hard coral.
Our Toadstool Mushroom, Colt, White Kenya Tree and a rock full of Zoos are doing real well.
Any suggestiong on a good hardy hard coral for a beginner? Guess I need something that will live on only 400watts of PC lighting. Since my reef isn't that deep thought I could keep it toward the top.
Thanks for all the nice words from everyone, but actually I don't think my tank comes closes to some of the tanks seen on this site!
