I have only 32g tank with 25lbs of live rock and 3inch of live sand bed. Do I need to run the stock chemical filter or I would be fine just the heater, lights on for atleast 6 t0 8 hrs, and sponge filter with air pump. I wanted to turn off the power filter since I dont have fish just corals and add sponge filter. I know live sand and live rock is biological then sponge filter will be my mechanical I dont know if I really need the chemical filtration . I just want my aquarium low maintainance .

Many of us run systems with no powered chemical filtration at all, relying on live rock (and maybe some chaeto) to do the job. That doesn't mean that you don't need a pump-circulation, especially when corals are present, is critical, so you will still need powerheads.
