Hi, yesterday i ordered a tomato clown but it had something wrong. You know tomatos are orange and the body' is darker, has one white line also. But on the body of mine looks it has some lighter parts but like wounds, its like lost some of his scales at some parts of the body, this happened probobly while shipping? will he recover and look bright? also one more thing, at the end of the tail, there is a bite probobly a very small piece of the tail is lost, probobly another clown did it or another fish/shrimp, will his tail turn back to normal? he is eating well and likes the tips of my anemone..
Take Care everybody

he will recover if your water quality is good. the tail will grow back very quickly. as for the scales...they could be cuts and will eventually heal. i have a tomato clown who had scares at one point but now he is doing great.

Thanx cope,
He eats well and never lets royal dottyback or ln hawk near the anemone that i brought from the sea. He isnt in the anemone but at the tips of the anemone, not in the middle. Also one more thing, when the lights are on he is fine and when the lights are off he goes to the top of the tank and all night he stays there and turns back to down when the lights are on. Is this normal?

Offer the fish a varied diet with quality foods.....maybe even consider fresh home made seafoods. Also, try soaking the meaty foods in zoecon for a bit, then feed the fish.
You have a pic of the banged up clown?

yeah i think so. my tomato clown who my girlfriend named cheeto use to float up and down the tank when the lights were off. he was kind of like sleep swimming. anyways, he has found a spot behind the rock where he rests and night now.
