What an unoriginal point of view... things were great back in the day but the world has gone to "hell in a handbag" today.
Let's not forget some pertinent information:
1960's... the drug revolution. riots in many urban areas, social unrest, students being beaten in response to peaceful protests, back-alley abortions, segregation. There was still murder, child abuse, sexual predators, domestic violence, etc. but then it was not publicized and overlooked in everyday society.
2000's... the country has become very sensitive to sexual predators, child abuse, terrorism, etc. While you use the most extreme scenarios imaginable and draw the worst possible conclusions therefrom. However the concerns about these issues are justified and the reactions have improved the situations dramatically.
This thread is somewhat comical. But let's all get over the notion that the grass was so much greener "back in the day". BTW, the 50's would have been a much better example for your scenarios. "Leave it to Beaver" vs. free love and Woodstock.
Good grief Crimzy...I just thought this was funny, and thought other people might too....Leave it to the Lawyer to take this way too seriously and try to analyze it
.... What are you in the middle of a lawsuit thats similar to one of these scenarios? BTW I'm probably younger than you, born in the mid 70's.
