When I was in school I had the same attitude about it. I thought it was senseless to learn something I didn't think I would ever use. I hated going to school the concept still gives me chill down my spine, But I wish now that I would have applied myself more when I was in school, because I am limited to what jobs I can do. I was very fortunate that I ended up with the job I have now, but don't think you can get as lucky as I did.
I hated school so much I dropped out in my junior year. I was fortunate enough to have had my Dad teach me electronics. Now I am an electrician with an electronics back ground. I now work on PLC's and do low voltage contols which is a very high paying career.
Good luck with school. just remember, it's not that school sucks, it's that a crappy job sucks.
