I'm trying to figure out my fish list for my 125 which will be a reef tank and I want some schooling fish say 3-5 of the same variety... Any suggestions on some good schooling fish for a reef tank?

Most people use chromis for that effect. Over time they even loose the instinct to school and sort hang out in there own space.

Really depends on how many/big your others are. I personally have 7 chromis in my 180(this does not include the one living in my overflow for 3 weeks now......cant get him out
)

Well as of now there are no fish hahaha how in the world did that fish get into your overflow box?!?!? Were they playing like nemo trying to escape to the ocean?!?!? He was the chosen one!!! I guess I will get 3-4-5 not sure will decide when I buy... Ohhh do you mix chromis?

I have eggcrate on my tank to, must have been chased up by one of the others, and happened to get through the 1/4 space. If it wasnt for the pipes, hed be out, but cant even fit a net in there. Mine are all blue/green.

I think from what I was reading schooling fish should be added first??? Are these the same as pseudochromis???

As far as I know, does not matter when you add them. No, there are not pseudo's, great thing is that the blue/green chromis are actually damsle's, a total of about $4.00 each.

I thought that you weren't supposed to have that many damsels? Or maybe it was you can't have more than one kind... I do need to add all of the chromis at the same time then right? I have 3 stripe in my other tank.

The chromis are distant members of the damsel family. They are schooling and thus not territorial like most damsels. I have a school of 5 in my tank and they were added last among the fish. Should not matter when you add them as they get along with most any other fish. My clowns even school with them on occasion!!!
AS for the overflow, I have fished one of mine out twice....along with a yellow clown goby (3 times, twice made it to the sump) neon cleaner goby, juvenile percula clown (he made it to the sump) and a scooter blenny. Got some coarse mesh over it now so hopefully they stay out of there. Been working so far!!!
