i have a green scolymia and a red brain coral in a 75 gallon reeftank. the tank consists of the following: seaclear 75 with built in filter. no bio balls just a prefilter, 80+- lbs fiji live rock, 4x65 watt power compacts, cleaner pack of astrea snails blue leg hermits, brittle stars, serpent stars, yellow cucumbers. corals are avbout 2 and a xxxxlg colt, fox coral, hammer coral, torch, chili coral and a purple l/t anemone. fish are 1 sailfin tang, 2 perculas, lawnmower blenny, and a scooter. problem is about 6 months ago the brain and scolymia both came out of there corals. they are duing awesome and float along the bottom of the tank. they get puffy and large like normal and small in the evening. my question is

why did the come out of there shells and why are they stilll alive. everyone i have talked to cannot understand it. the tank is in awesome shape. no am, no nitrite, nitrate and ph is 8.1/8.2 temps in the 75-80. will they ever grow a new prtective shell? please lmk if you have any answers or sugestions. rfishoutofwater@msn.com
