Scooter Blenny - Sleeping habits

I have a Scooter Blenny (Scoot) in my 10gc. I just love this little guy! At night he has always gone behind the rocks to sleep so I never noticed it's habits. This morning I turned on the lights and there's Scoot in the front of the tank, not moving and half buried in sand. He looked like he was "belly up" and stiff. I thought he was dead, the tears started to roll, I reached for the net and sure enough Scoot wakes up, shakes off the sand and swims to me for a meal! I always figured he parked in a rock somewhere for the night, and never would have thought he would bury himself in the sand to sleep (not with bristle worms lurking in the dark.) Half the LR from this tank went into my 30gc a couple of weeks ago, thus disrupting the landscape. What's left in the tank has been claimed by an Sebae Anemone & Tomato Clown. The clown (squirt) long ago stopped harrassing the blenny when it came near the rocks it claimed.
Scooter Blennies are the coolest fish! It's fun to watch him
"scoot" around the tank & rocks. When I sit close to the tank, looking at it, the Blenny will perch on a rock and watch me back!

My scooty sleeps half in the sand half out. What is he eating? Mine only eats pods off the rocks and live brine or frozen mysis.
