OK I don't have esablished LR to feed my Scooter Blenny, could someone please help with a suggestion for getting him to eat food I give hime (also what type of food would you recommend)?

your best bet would hatch live brine shrimp.or try frozen ones, thats what mine eats. well and bugs off the live rock. but try frozen first if he dont eat that, then hatch ur own.

Hiya,
I suggest you take him back to the store. I had one in a non-established tank and he never converted to processed foods. He died about 3 months later.

scooter blennies are not acutally blennies, they're gobies, like the mandarinfish. you should definately take him back. they generally do not eat any kind of frozen food.

u could always go to lfs and buy about 10lbs live rock cure from their tanks and that mite help him convert over to frozen brine. mine loves the frozen kind. he does love live food though, so if i dont get new corals(he likes to check out new rocks) sucks cause it takes the new coral a couple hours to open, since he wont leave it alone!! i pick up rocks from the sand to give him some copopods to chase.

Also, jobob's scooter is happy and FAT. :D It depends on the individual fish, IMO. If you can't get him eating frozen foods, I'd take him back to your LFS so he doesn't starve, but if you can get him eating frozen/prepared foods, he'll probably also be happy and fat in your tank. :)
