Try a red grease pencil, available at an office supply store.. Rub it down the length of the scratch then use a soft cloth to wipe the sides of the scratch to remove excess. I used to be an optical lab tech and that's what we used to hide scratches that may have aribitrarily occurred during the manufacturing process of prescription lenses.

i have used the stuff for winshields on my glass tank and it worked very good. i used a dremel tool with a little buffing wheel on it. just becareful on the amount of pressure you use so you dont cut into the glass and you need to polish all the glass after your done so the whole thing matches. do this with a drill on a low setting so you dont get any stuff in the tank. the best way to do it is tape a plastic bag aroung the top of the tank with that blue painters tape so you dont get any on the hood. and there you go you should fix the scratch in about 2 hours of prep, work, and clean up time.
