Screen vs Eggcrate

I just started switching from eggcrate to screen netting, and I must say, it looks better, the holes are smaller and there's more light shining through in all directions. The squares are only 1/4", so nothing is getting through that. Check it out.
Meowzer, this is also for you. Sorry to hear about your clown. I recently had one "beam up" after watching him for a whole month in the QT.

Looks great....I thought about covering my egg crate with the netting....just have never done it...

This will at least eliminate one of the doubts of where my fish disappear to.

yep awsome! Not hard to do either huh? Meowzer i dont think u would need the eggcrate, u would just need these covers! Ive made several! Now though i just leave em open top! Is urs clear screen raptor...i used black bird netting and it didnt allow the light to penetrate as much....i hear the clear stuff is better!

yup, I used the clear stuff. I found it on E-bay. I think it gives it a real clean look.
I wouldn't think that the color of the netting would affect the amount of light going through since there's almost nothing there to block the light, interesting.
