Scrubbing Green Hari Algae

Ok, so this stuff is getting on my nerves. Once a week a pick it out with tweezers. I really want to take the rock out and scrub it off. Has anyone done this, and will it harm the live rock? What type of scrubbing pad did you use, and did you use fresh water?

here is the funny thing, I am running with no filtratation, only a powerhead and a modified skilter with no media. My trates are at zero and i'm using ro/ di water. It's pretty frustrating when i think i'm using all the right stuff and still have the problem.

i would turn down the lights a bit, only problem is i have 2 clams, one maxima and a squamosa, plus some photosynthetic corals. i have some hermits and 2 snails(astrea), they dont look at the stuff. I'm gonna try to scrub it off sna see how that goes. I dose the tank with phytoplankton every other day for the clams, could it be that?

I too use a toothbrush. I feel your pain. Everything seems right and I can't use clean up crew (aggressive tank). If you get it figured out let us know.
Good Luck!
