Theres a side that is cracked. Do you think I can seal it up with some sort of sealer so it doesn't leak? And what is the blue tray with holes in for? Do I need to add something to it? And I dont think theres enough room to put my skimmer and heater in the wetdry. How did you do it?

Cartman, that sucks that the wet/dry came cracked. I don't know if it can be fixed or not, Scuba or others may be able to advise you on this. But if the wet/dry cannot be used, you can make a refugium relatively cheap. I'd use a 20 gallon long tank for your 125. You'd have to install baffles and get some help here, but it could still be done for a reasonable price.

ok, but i was think that maybe some aquarium sealer can help
Its only the top half thats cracked. But it seems like theres not enough room to but any filters in the wetdry :notsure:

It can be fixed but as I told you I insured it even though I gave it to you . Please know it was not cracked whan I packed it...GD USPO.
I feel AWFUL that it was damaged. You can fix it but do not use silicone...you can use a two part glue for acrylic.
it all depends how bad the acrylic is damaged. If that crack is big forget about it. I f small and towrds the top it may not even impact the functioning.
Send me a pic if you can
If it cannot be fixed I'll buy you a new one...I feel sick that it got damaged. please accept my apologies...I should have gorilla proofed the damn thing.

That is a slim line model Amircale. it is longer and not too wide. The pump rests in the front part. You are correct..not too much room for an in sump skimmer.

You have to place a filter pad in the blue tray. The water runs through the pad trapping waste/particles and the water then runs through the bioballs. You can buy pads and cut them if the lfs does not have your size.
Either way let me know how things work out. My offer stands...as I feel really bad it was damaged. You have my email addy.
it is acrylic and not glass......so aquairum silicone is not a good choice to use.
Let me know if you want to make an insurance claim. I insured it for the approximate value. .....$100. You need to keep the box and contents though.

I still have the skimmer the guy used on that wet dry. he had it sitting outside with the returns going back to the wet/dry and a pump running from the wet dry to the skimmer. he modified a Berlin skimmer for this with PVC piping for in and out takes. . I can send you the skimmer if you want it....but I believe the top of the collection cup is missing

You can use suction cups and run the heater parallel to the bottom against the rear wall. Place it beneath the bioballs where it is constantly underwater.

ok,sorry for the delay again. Um, yeah I think the crack is to big, i can see where it runs too. The piece of glass at the top is broken but theres a crack/scratch running towards the bottom. Thats ok, you can keep the skimmer
So if I do a file claim, what does that mainly do?Is like taking your $100? Man, I dont want to do that to

I gave you the wet fry as a gift and insured for the approximate value. You are not taking a dime from me. I simply fill out my portion of the USPO form. YOU then need to fill your portion out. I can send the portion with the senders info filled along with the original insurance slip. You then take the shipping box and all contents to the USPO branch along with the form with your portion filled in and the original insurance slip..

Yeah, I know you didn't damage it. When I moved to missouri from florida those stupid shippers broke lots of my aquarium stuff  Two 10 ten gallon tanks and some ornaments. I even packed them good to.

Scuba your a great guy . And cartman the whole thing about insurance is to use it when you need it. File the claim and let them pay for a new one .

Yeah, scuba you are a wonderful guy. If you ran for president you would win easily
Ok, so basicly the uspo is going to pay me their money and not scubadoos money, right?

So do i send the item that broke to the uspo or the whole thing? Just wait on the whole file claim thing. Is there a certain time where i must make my decision?
