SCWD Problems

I have had my scwd running for less than a week and the flow keeps getting stuck to one outlet. I have to hit the scwd with a hammer to get it to flow in both directions. It started with just once a day but I had to do it 10 X today already. I guess Ill take it off to clean.

Thanks for sharing. I was looking at maybe buying two for my tank, but now I may not.

I removed and cleaned with vinegar and water for about 15 minutes. I put back on with no luck. This really bites. I guess I will return.

I've been running one for over a year and it still works great! Maybe you just got a bad one, or maybe your pump isn't powerful enough??

I have SQWD on my return to my 170. I use a foam prefilter on my mag pick up. I have been using it for over three months and it has worked flawlesly. A little care and it will work great, just use some prevention and keep the junk out.

I use a mag9.5 to run the scwd. Maybe it was just a bad one. I will contact scwd and see what they will do. Thanks
