SCWD questions

Just picked up my new SCWD. I have a question for you fellow addicts. Has anyone drileld a bulked in either side of the tank more or less centered and blumbed it through the bulkheads with those balljoint fittings screwed into the bulkheads with a Y-pipe fitting and a couple director tips for each side?

Are you talking about loc-line? I use it on all four returns on my frag tank. I just use the NPT connector to screw into the bulkhead and pop on the Y-splitter. I don't attach anything else to the Y-splitters only because I have no need to.
Just a note on the SCWD. If you're going to be pushing >500 GPH through the SCWD, you should position it under water or above the sump or tank. IME it tends to leak even with clamps when you have a lot of pressure going through it.

thanks for that input. i doubt i want to push >500 gph though a 20 long.
