Sea Clone

I just bought a Sea Clone Skimmer ( I got it real cheap). Is it a decent skimmer for a 72g tank. Also there is an air valve on the tube coming from the intake of the pump - How long or often should I leave that open. Any input is great, Thanks.

I have two Sea Clone's - one for my 55 gsal and one for the QT tank. Remove the air adjuster and make sure you clean the collection cup every other day.
Also plan on cleaning the unit completely every three weeks and it works fine.

remove the air valve?? isnt that there so you can adjust the amount of flow and air thats infused with the water?
I'm curious cuz I just installed a seaclone 100 on my 37gal with Eclipse 3 hood. Being as its new and not "broke-in" yet, my air valve is almost closed all the way, just enough to let the skimmer have bubbles, but no too many bubbles flowing back into the tank. If I removed the valve the entire tank would be full of bubbles... true??
