a lfs has a tiger tail sea cucumber and i was wondering if i could keep one in a 55 reef tank that is being upgraded in fall. i heard they release toxins when they die? are they hardy and could i put it in a tank with an eel and christmas wrasse (37.5 gallons)?

I do not recommend them going into anything that might mess with them, and in this regard I do not trust things like wrasses. They do not belong in tanks with things that will mess with them. They require a fine grain sand, so if you have crushed coral, it is out. Also, protect powerheads. It should be OK in that size tank, but be sure to acclimate for many hours using a drip method if possible, and be sure to keep the container that the animal is in during this time heated at tank temp (otherwise there will be temp shock).
