Sea horse okay?

I want to get a seahorse but I heard they are not agressive enough and don't fight for their food so they starve to death. I have a mandarinfish, 2 clownfish, a starfish, 2 hermit crabs, a snail, 2 shrimps, and some corals. Any ideas on how to keep a sea horse or 2 alive? Is this info. I heard true? What do I feed them?

I doubt that they would get any food with the clowns in the tank. I would not put a sehorse in your tank, but that is just me. Let's see what others say.

IMO.... definite no on the clowns, and it depends what corals and shrimp are in the tank. So if you're asking if the tank is suitable as it is now.... I would say no.

I have 2 cleaner shrimp, some frogspawn, a golden finger, an anemone, some mushrooms, and a pagoda. What do you think now?

if your horses are well trained the it would be ok, just make sure the other fish are well fed before you feed the horses. clowns are probobly a no no because they can be very territorial and nasty. horses dont really do the whole territory thing, they just kind of drift around and hang wherever they feel like, could be problems with a territorial fish.

sorry, no anemone-the horses would get stung and it would kill them, also the frogspawn, and any other stinging coral.

The only way it would work it to take out most of what you have, or start another tank.
a 29 gal maine kit would work just fine.

frogspawn is a level 4 on the compatability chart, they have sweeper tenticals they send out when feeding and they will sting.

OMG! I didn't know that I just looked it up in my coral book and it said the aggressiveness was high. Thanks for telling me! But why doesn't it sting my clownfish? They live in there.

Yeah, I guess so, but I want one so bad! Is there any way I could make this work?
really your best bet for horses especially when your beginning with them is a species only tank. sorry to burst your bubble.
