sea urchins??

i have a real wierd problem here...:notsure: i have 3 sea urchins, one is doing wonderfully, one is so so, and the third is going down hill rapidly.
how can i help these poor things before its too late....someone please help quickly:help:

if any of them are losing their spines then its pretty much a lost cause...what is you specific gravity/salinty at?

my long spined urchin lost alot of needles when my ph went down to 7.8. after added buffer he began growing his needles within a week.

what is a buffer, the one urchin is losing his spines pretty bad and i would like to help it
my ph is a bit low, about 7.7-7.9 or so...not quite 8 anyway....so i would like to know what that buffer is and if it helps the ph level please and thank you for the help very much!!!

mikeyb i had a ph problem and my lfs sold me a product called marine buffer is raises ph to 8.3 and its safe to use with all fish and inverts i hope this is helpful.and its only like 7 bukes

i've used "kent marine super-buffer"... goes for about 10$ at your local pet store. takes about 24 hours for it to adjust. Hopefully the urchins hold on. Good luck! oh yeh...in an emergency i've read that regular baking soda does the same thing.
