Sea Worm???

I think I have a sea worm I saw it at night with a flashlight long worm thing with spikes on it. Is this a bad thing? How do I get it out. It was a ugly.

Billions of species of marine worms. Most found in this hobby are some sort of bristle worm...ex featherdusters, cocoworms, and the worms with prickly bristles on their bodies that are usually called bristleworms. Most are harmless, some are not.
