My tank has been up for a month now. I just added a HOB seaclone skimmer and Im wondering how long before I get anything. Its not even close to hitting the cup. I put my HOB red sea prism from my reef tank on this tank last week and was getting skum immediately

right on. Another Q. What is your valve set at? open or closed? or somewhere in between.

LOL...If you close it you will have NO air...open too much too much air..lol
HMMMM...so in between
Look in back of tank and open it so you have a nice neat tornado going on....and no excess bubbles coming out from the inflow into the tank

takes about a week for anything but even longer to really get going. I kept the air wide open always. worked best for me.
