Seaclone 100 Protein skimmer

I was thinking of purchasing a Seaclone 100 protein Skimmer, but I just wanted to know if anyone has heard anything negative or positive about these at all before I buy it.

I got one. its good , but only thing bad about it that sometime it put alot of these little air bubble in your tank. Other then that it a good protien skimmer .

Well......there is certainly more negative stuff posted about Sea Clowns than there is positive. They just are not a good skimmer by any stretch of the imagination. Yes they do work, but they do not usually work without having to play aorund with them continually, and even then they work mediocre at best. For the same amount of money or just a bit more I would seriously consider a coralife super skimmer. ...........but under no circumstances would I ever ever consider a seaclone no matter what the price was.

I'm just kind of on a tight budget, but I also want to make sure that I'm not buying junk.

what size tank? there are better for $100 and under now (a short time ago there werent any better in this price range). I still think the Coralife super skimmers look too bulky for hang on applications but for sump applications it, ASM mini and smaller octopus models come to mind in the $100 range. Like I've said a thousand times with a 1000 pics as my evidence my seaclone works fine, doesn't require any adjustment and is perfectly adequate for tanks 30 gallons and smaller (why anybody would believe it would be suitable for a bigger tank is beyond me. the pump size and the amount of water it can process along with the small size of the skimmer body dictate its not suitable for anything but small tanks). Most people just dont know how to adjust them and mess with the adjustments way too much. all that said get the coralife super skimmer 65. although the build quality of the super skimmers are basically garbage (much worse than the seaclone) they perform great. Its what I bought (larger model) for my next tank.
