SeaClone Modification

I've never done all the mods, but I did have a seaclone. Rather than go thru the ordeal of trying to modify the skimmer, I just tossed it [keeping the maxi that came with it]. I hear there is a new Seaclone now that is a better skimmer.

as Beth said, there is a new model that works well. SeaClone has made the modifications and all the new ones should be updated.
You can tell if you have a new madel if the center rise tube is about 3-4 inches long. I have never had a problem with mine!

hmmmm........ trying to trim down the inner tube on mine but it doesn't want to come out.

well lessen learned, if thetube doesn't want to come out, it will break! Looks like I will be running to the hardware store later today.

well the skimmer actually seems to work better with no inner tube than before!!!!

I did all the mods! Mine works fine in my 65gal. I know people are gonna convince you on buying a cpr or a red sea....but all I can say is that for the money you can't go wrong....

Yes I've made the mods. Yes it was a pain in my ...... And yes it does work better.

Ive also done the mods and i think it works great in sump.
