seaclone skimmer question

hello I had a seaclone skimmer on my tank and it always collected waste but resontly it stopped collecting anything. WHat can be the cause of this?

have you added any sort of chemicals in the tank? or your tubing for air is clogged with salt build up run that thru hot water once a month.

well i think it was the tubbing. Because i cant find the tubing they gave my so i put a regular air tubing in. should i try to get the original tubing of the seaclone skimmer?

as long as it fits its good. im just saying that usually salt builds up in side the tubing causing less air in the skimmer

My Seaclone 100 does this every once in a while. What you need to do is take it apart and soak it in 4 gallons of water and a capful of bleach. this will really clean it. Make sure to rinse it well and let it dry preferably in the sun and before placing back on take rinse it out again with cold water. Also you want to make sure the sponge filter on the inside of the tank stays clean. If its not very clean well its not gonna be as effective. Just my 2 cents.
