Seaclone skimmer users

In your opinion for all of you that have a Seaclone skimmer does it work better for you with the foam on the intake or without it? I dont want to mess with mine becuase they are so unpredictable but I would just like to get everyones opinions.

usually mine would make my tank look white because of all the micro bubbles. and that's the only way i could get it to work right. so i modified mine to sit in my sump. now all the micro bubbles get popped when they go thru a filter pad. so now it works great. except for sometimes the air intake won't work and i have to mess with the valve every now and then. i still hate it. just don't want to buy a new one if i don't have to. haha :hilarious

MY seaclone works great, ignore the people that give this thing a bad rep. My works fine, but i did remove that foam filter around the intake and shortened the air line, now it pulls loads of S*** out of my tank. Also once you find that sweet spot with the air valve, just mark it and forget about

I have one on my 75, and 37 and it works fine with... just gotta clean it every now and then...
