SeaClone skimmers

Has anyone had any experience with the new SeaClones? I think they have upgraded them since the 100 was around. I am looking at the NV 75 for my 54 gal tank.

i have heard they are still junk but i have not personally used them. I have a CPR backpak on my 55 and it is great. I strongly suggest one IMO

I don't have anywhere to put a hang on though. I have a corner tank with a sump. Unfortunately I don't have the cash to go for a nice $300 skimmer, but I want to upgrade from the trash airstone model I have.
Would the Seaclone, being a venturi style, still be an upgrade over the old airstone skimmers?

As long as a skimmer produces skimate...that is all that is needed. That is not specific to brand name or type...
I use a Seaclone 100 and am satisfied with its performance. I have it in a sump and it extracts as it is intended to do.

My current skimmer is a DIY made by previous owner - the collection cup is coming apart - I have tried to repair it numerous times with silicone, but it only lasts a few months.
How long have you had your 100? Isn't that the older model? Don't they just have the 75 and 150 now?

OK, my mistake! It is not a SeaClone. It is a Sealife Systems motorized skimmer. Anyone know about those?
