Seahorse Feeding Dish

I wanted to get my new seahorses trained to eat from a feeding dish as soon as possible after getting them but also didn't want to have to stick my whole arm into the bottom of the tank three times a day so I decided to make an "elevated" one. I think this could work...... see what you think. Actually it looks like a really cool, tropical drink, doesn't it?

HAHAHA! That is awesome Sue! Really cute idea. What is the pinkish sand you used in the glass? Really pretty looking! Nothing like a mysis cocktail...lol

It's Estes Ultra Reef Marine Sand. I searched all over the bag to see if I can find a "name" of the color and I think it's simply "coral". THe only place that shows up is in tiny print under the bar code.
I like the color so much I'm thinking of making "designs" in the sand with it but realistically, how long would they stay designs? Not very long. Still, though, even mixed in with the basic live sand it might give the whole tank a more tropical, "pinky" look.
Does anyone know of any reason this sand should NOT be added to the main sand bed? Like is it TOO fine or contain something that's not good for fish and invertebrates? If I've learned one thing from my short time in this hobby, it's NOT to believe everything you read on the package!
