Yeah...
I just did a water change. Everything is perfect across the board.
I decided to take him into the LFS today, the seahorse specialist, Shawn, was in today. He looked him over and his diagnosis was that Valiant is on the mend. Number one, he's eating...the other sign he said was Valiant's skin color was good. If he was declining his skin color would start to turn white and he would refuse to eat.
Shawn recommendation was to finish the second round of Formalin and he should good to go.
I been using a Kent Zoe marine food enhancer, but Shawn gave me to other things to try.
Selcon and Garlic Guard. I haven't had to use the garlic guard with Valiant since he eats anytime. But he mentioned that not onloy does it make food more palatable, but it also adds resistance to ich and other parasites.
I just feed Valiant dinner with both the Selcon and garlic guard mixed in. He has always been a casual eater, until I used this combo. He was going bonkers. I've seen fish frenzy feeding...every fish for themselves...but Valiant was almost doing back flips to snick every last piece in.
I bought 2 Sergeant Major Damselfish while I was at the fish store today as well. The 90 has been empty for so long I thought it would be a good idea to help the tank recover. I'm also going to purchase a Copperband Butterflyfish to take care of the aiptasia infestation. These fish will be moving to another tank when it's time to put Valiant back in.
Do yo have any other thought regarding Valiant's health. Seahorses are so hard to diagnose...one minute he's stuffing his face...the next he's on the bottom not moving.
Thanks,
Rykna

Where is his firefish buddy?
I know it may sound silly, but seahorses are not solitary creatures and they do go in search of mates.
He looks a bit thin to me in these last photos. Do you still enrich his mysis? He does look good color-wise, just kind of peaky?

Flash is in the QT with him. He's not very happy about his current living conditions. Flash stays hidden in the fake rock most of the time. And don't worry I look forward to the day that I can buy a new friend for him...poor Valiant is very lonely...he spends some of his time greeting his reflection.
I almost talked myself into buying a female Kuda at the fish store. I was thinking that I could put her into the QT with Valiant, I sure it would be a great boost for his health and recovery.
I noticed that Valiant is looking thinner too. That's when it dawned on me...no pods in the QT.
So I'm going to step up to 3 feedings a day. Shawn, the seahorse specialist at my LFS, gave me some Selcon and Garlic guard. Garlic guard, which I was not aware of, helps the immune system. When I fed him last night with the food soaked in garlic and selcon poor little Flash hardly had and bite. I've never seen Valiant inhale food so fast!! I also bought a tall, thin, sea weed plastic plant. Which Valiant seems to like.
With his skin, Shawn metioned that because the horse's skin is so delicate, it takes a long time for the skin lesions to heal...and most leave an obvious scar or discoloration.
Valiant is currently hunting for pods, and still a bit itchy, kinda like how I feel after a bad sun burn.

Selcon is an excellent product. I soak ALL my foods for sea creatures in it for 24 hours. I don't use garlic guard though, I use actually minced garlic and soak the food in the juice from the garlic, This is the same thing and will help the immune system greatly.

Other thought...should I step up a notch this second round and give doses every day?
I notice that on the days I treat Valiant is much better. Less itching, less jerking...swims around more too.
