Seahorse stopped eating

I have a 2 year old female Kuda that has stopped eating about 2 weeks ago. I figure she is soon to cash in as 2 years is pretty good. She was full grown when bought, so she could be over 3 years old. SHe used to eat mysis piled in front of her but now will not. SHe seems to be in the "hunting" posture though. SHe does not move around alot any more either. She is in a 29 that does have some pods. If she ate bristle worms, she would never need to fed! Visually, she is fine. Do you think she is just old and on the way out?

I'm sorry to hear.
Does the seahorse have any bouyancy problem (is she floating) or does she have trouble swimming?
Are there any outward signs of distress such as wounds or skin that looks flaky?
How does the snout look?
You mention bristle worms..it is possible that she has snicked one. I don't know what they effects will be, if she swallowed one. I have seen them snick them and then blow them out without lasting affects.
Three years old for a captive seahorse is probably average, I would say.
Does she seem to have vision trouble?

I'm sorry I can't help with this grumpygils...as you know, I'm new to this realm of saltwater keeping and still learning.
I just wanted to post here to wish you luck and the best possible outcome for you and your little horse.
I'll be watching.

He is visually fine. Snout seems ok. No buoancy issues. I have been through GBD and it sucks. SOme one asked about the water. It is very good and 30% per month is changed in small increments with RO/DI watwer. No vision issues?

Very well could be old age. My error in earlier post, by the way. 3 years is great for captive seahorses! They say that in nature the life expectancy is between 2 and 6 years, depending on species and other things.
I had two females that I purchased separately, they were full grown and they were with me, one for 2 years, one for 3 years.
One of them developed directional problems (wasn't GBD) swimming and quit eating, like yours. That is very difficult to go through, but I think they do it instinctively (refuse food, that is). Hang in there.

Well, it does sound like the clock is winding down.
If she eating at all and can swim/hitch/rest, I would just let her be.
Everyone else OK?
