I have a 40g tank that i want to make a seahorse tank, with just a pair of them. How much liverock do they need, and would 1 PH be ok (from what i have read they like low current. Also what kind of plant would u suggest buying since they need something to grab onto?

You may be ok keeping aquacultured seahorses, but stay away from the live caught ones as they only eat live food. They do not like a lot of current, so I would suggest using a small powerhead aimed towards some rock and away from wherever you plant something for them to grab onto. You may want to put some kelp or some other type of plant, check out the website run by a couple of doctors for some plants.

Check out www.syngnathid.org and www.seahorse.org for specific information on tank set up and recommended plants, corals, etc.
Only buy CB. Several online retailers have them from ORA. Most likely your LFS can order them too. Your best chance at success lies in buying CB seahorses.
